- Open the Settings: In the mobile app, navigate to the Settings screen
- Go to Account Section: Scroll down to the "Account" section
- Select Delete Account: Tap on "Delete Account" (displayed in red)
- Confirm Deletion: Read the warning message carefully, then confirm that you want to permanently delete your account
- Complete Deletion: Your account will be deactivated and anonymized immediately
Important: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Once you delete your account:
- You will be logged out immediately and redirected to the login screen
- All your properties will be hidden from public view
- You will lose access to all your data, including property listings, favorites, applications, and tour bookings
- Your account cannot be recovered
7.2 What Happens to Your Data
When you delete your account:
- Personal Information: Your email, username, name, and phone number are anonymized (e.g., "deleted_user_123@deleted.local") to protect your privacy while maintaining data integrity for legal compliance and audit trails
- Profile Data: Your profile information, including avatar and contact details, is removed
- Properties: Your property listings are immediately hidden from all public searches and feeds. The property data itself is retained in our database for legal and compliance purposes but is anonymized
- Related Data: Data related to your account (favorites, applications, tours) is retained but anonymized to maintain referential integrity and comply with legal requirements
- Historical Records: Some anonymized data may be retained for legal compliance, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, and audit purposes
Please note that while we anonymize your personal information, we may retain certain anonymized data for legal compliance, fraud prevention, and audit purposes as required by law.
7.3 Alternative Account Deletion Methods
If you are unable to delete your account through the app, you may contact us directly:
- Email: Send a deletion request to privacy@rezude.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request"
- Include the following information: Your account email address, phone number associated with the account, and a clear statement requesting account deletion
- Processing Time: We will process your request within 30 days of receipt
